FAIR HAVEN / REDCREEK 18 HOLE GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Fair Haven / Red Creek Rotary 18 Hole Golf Tournament is being held on 8/22/2025 at the Spring Brook Greens Golf Course at 817 Old State Rd, Sterling, NY 13156.
Proceeds of the Golf Tournament will be used locally to help support scholarships for our local students at the Red Creek Central School District. The Fair Haven / Red Creek Rotary has been giving scholarships to local students and events like this raise money so we can continue to do this and possibly increase the amount and number of scholarships.
Please consider playing in the tournament and or making a donation to the Fair Haven / Red Creek Rotary so we can continue to do this important service for our community.
The Rules for the Tournament are as follows:
1) The format of the tournament will be a Captain and Crew or Best Ball format
2) This will be an 18-hole tournament with a shotgun start. 10:00 am is the start time, if there is frost it may be slightly delayed.
3) Each team will consist of a foursome. Families and friends are welcome to make their own teams and play together.
4) Registration for the tournament can be done on redcreekrotary.com Click on the golf tournament and register here. The link will connect you the registration page. Payment can be made on the website; the cost is $75.00 per person, This includes all the games and contests listed below..
5) Each member of the foursome must contribute to the score. Every member must count at least 2 strokes on the front nine and 2 strokes on the back nine.
6) Mulligans can be purchased for $5.00 each prior to the start, at the tournament. No more than one mulligan can be used by a player on a hole.
7) Skins game, see skins game rules.
8) Team with the lowest score wins, prize to be determined.
9) Registration includes a meal off the grill at the turn. There will also be food at the end of the tournament at the club house during the awards ceremony. The winner of the tournament, 50/50 raffle, skins, closest to the pin, longest drive door prizes etc. will be announced during the awards ceremony.
Raffle and Door prizes:
Raffle tickets will be sold for $10.00 per arm's length. The 50/50 will be drawn and the winner will win 50% of the money collected, the rest will be donated to the Fair Haven Red Creek rotary. The remaining tickets will be drawn to determine the winner of the generous door prizes supplied by our sponsors.
SKINS GAME RULES:
1) Any TEAM that wishes to enter the skins games can enter. $20.00 per team. This is a charity event for the Fair Haven/ Red Creek Rotary however the Skins are not shared with the Rotary and the Skins game will be run by the golf course. 2) All holes will be of equal value.
3) The lowest score on each hole will win the skin
4) If there is a tie the skin rolls over to the next hole.
5) If there is no winner of any skins all remaining money will be donated to the Fair Haven/Red Creek Rotary.
6) Skins can be won if a mulligan is used by your teams final score for that hole.
Closest to the Pin Rules: Holes 8 and 11
1) The closest to the pin will be on the honor system. There will be a sign in sheet and envelope and or a volunteer at the Tee. Sign the sheet and place to mark the distance.
2) The hole (par 3) that is designated for the closest to the pin competition will have a sign in sheet and a tape measure near the green.
3) If you think you are the closest to the pin, measure the distance and sign the sheet with your name and distance from the center of the hole (pin).
4) As with all the games the prize will be a medal or trophy. Collected,
Longest Drive Rules: 18th hole
1) The Longest Drive competition will be on the honor system. There will be a sign in sheet and envelope and or a volunteer at the Tee. Sign the sheet and mark where the ball landed.
2) The Longest Drive has to be performed on your first drive and not a mulligan.
3) The Longest Drive must be a legal drive in-bounds to count.
4) There will be a marker at the hole designated for the Longest Drive. Place the marker at the location of your drive if you are the longest at that point, write your name at the bottom of the list on the marker.
5) As with all the games the prize will be a meal or trophy.
PLEASE NOTE FOR LONGEST DRIVE WOMAN CAN TEE OFF FROM WOMANS TEES AND COMPETE AGAINST WOMAN ONLY. THERE WILL BE AN ENVELOPE AND MARKER SPECIFICALLY FOR THE WOMANS CONTEST
Most Accurate Drive. 9th hole
1) The object is not the longest but the most accurate drive.
2) Place name on the marker if you are the closest to the rope on the fairway.
3) The person closest to the rope that is in the center of the fairway wins.
4) Tee off and measure how close you are to the rope. There will be a tape measure and a marker to write down your distance.
5) Like the other contests the winner will get 50% of the money collected.
Putting Contest: Practice green
1) After finishing the 9th hole and before going to the 10th tee there will be a putting contest at the practice putting green.
2) Each team will play as a captain and crew. There will be a Rotarian to explain the course to your team.
3) You will acquire your teams best score.
4) The teams score on the putting course will be added to the total score helping deciding your teams place in the tournament.
Mulligans:
1) Mulligans (do over for a shot) can be purchased prior to the start for $5.00 each.
2) You can use only one mulligan per hole per person.
